Maxine's - 1215 Bidwell Street, Vancouver Location Notes: Maxine's was used for the interior of the Picon Harbor Bar, the Blue Moon (where we see Ellen talking to Cavil). You can find an article on Maxine's here: Picon Harbor Bar. As of July 2013, this building has been torn down in favor of a 21-story apartment building. Justice Institute, Maple Ridge, Restricted Access. The Syfy Network has a great video of this location and the rebel base: Location, Location, Location. Location Notes: Henry and Darren at the Justice Institute were invaluable in helping us with this location. We were offered the opportunity to photograph at the site, but were unable to fit it into our trip due to time constraints. I sent Darren some screencaps and he generously went out to the site and took these pics for us. Thanks, guys!

North Vancouver Travel Tips: This was used in a flashback sequence to 'Lay Down Your Burdens.' There is also a flashback to these woods in Robert Burnaby Park in 'The Farm.' More information is available for this park under the category 'The Farm.'
For this location, park in the Cleveland Dam parking lot. You'll be able to see 'The Lions,' the mountains used as the 'Gates of Hera' in the Kobol arc from there. Cross the Cleveland Dam bridge (another site from 'The Plan') and you'll see a path on the left leading up. Walk up the path. Right about where it begins to turn, you'll see a wooden post with a small yellow sign on it. Enter the woods here (there's an obvious path). We found screen matching in this park very difficult (though we believe we were successful with a few Kobol shots). Did you have luck matching? Please contact us and share your pics and stories. The Northlawn Building (part of Riverview Hospital), 2601 Lougheed Highway, Coquitlam, BC. The Syfy Network has a great video of this location and the Cylon Base: Location, Location, Location. Travel Tips: As the original resistance base from 'The Farm' had been demolished, production moved to The Northlawn Building (on the grounds of Riverview Hospital--Kara's hospital from 'The Farm'). It was difficult to match the building as many production shots were taken from well above, but the shots here are of the correct location. The actual area that was used is fenced in and locked.
We passed Riverview Hospital on our way to the Breeder's Canyon site in Coquitlam. Traffic can be bad here, so we'd suggest going on a weekday. This location used to be a mental institution and is now used exclusively for filming. A security vehicle drove the grounds when we were there. We didn't make any effort to hide what we were doing, and the driver simply smiled and waved at us as he drove by. Simon Fraser University, entrance is where Burnaby Mountain Parkway meets Gaglardi Way. Simon Fraser Campus Map Travel Tip: An absolute do not miss location in Burnaby, Simon Fraser University appears in many episodes. Finding a map on campus can be difficult, so use an online map like the one at the beginning of this post to help you plot your route through campus (or bring it up on your phone while you're there). This was a flashback sequence in 'The Plan.' The exact shot is likely to the right of ours.

North Vancouver  The Cleveland Dam bridge at Capilano Park. Travel Tips: When you get to Capilano Park, park in the Cleveland Dam parking lot (click the adjacent pic to enlarge). From there, you'll be able to see the Lions Mountains (from the Kobol arc). The bridge used in 'The Plan' takes you directly across the dam. The view and the sound there is amazing. If you continue across the bridge and up the gravel path, you'll be able to visit the Cylon missile site from Kobol as well. Just walk up the path and right about where it begins to turn you'll see a wooden post with a small, yellow sign on it. Enter the woods here (there's an obvious path).
Mid Valley in the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve in North Vancouver. Take exit 22 from Hwy 1 at the north end of the Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Bridge. A large green GVRD sign at the intersection of the parkway and Lillooet Road points straight ahead on Lillooet to the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve (Seymour Demonstration Forest). Click on the maps below to get a closer look.    Help Needed: We cut short our trip to the lookout at Mid Valley, site of the pyramid training camp, as the road to the site was gated and we didn't have time to hike the rest of the way. This location is just down the road from the Stables from 'Hand of God' and is fully public (and reportedly has an amazing view).
